Some numbers are listed as Do Not Disturb. Messages will not be delivered to these numbers, they will be filtered by the operator. 


Transactional messages can be sent to Do Not Disturb numbers 24 hours a day but, you will have to register a message originator first. 


It is forbidden to send promotional SMS between the hours of 9pm and 9am. Those sent outside of this time will be queued at submitted at the appropriate time.

Long number/virtual mobile number: No (long number will be modified to ensure delivery)


To register a message originator, you must create a 6 character word, consisting of capital characters. Example: RGFSMS.


General best practices: 


  • You should get opt-in consent from each end user before sending text messages. 


  • For marketing messages you must make it easy for customers to opt-out - e.g. by sending a reply 'STOP' text.


  • To ensure that messages are not considered spam, be transparent with who you are; clearly display the name of your service / business within the message originator or within the body of the text message itself.
